During the early morning hours Tuesday, March 7, 2017, Collinsville Police Department officers conducted routine patrol operations near America’s Best Value Inn located at 552 Ramada Blvd.
Officers discovered that Dallas A. Rivers, wanted for Armed Robbery through the Madison County Sheriff’s Department, was staying in a room at America’s Best Value Inn.
The Illinois Special Response Team (ILEAS) was contacted and assisted in the
planned apprehension after the subject refused to exit the room, according to Major Richard Wittenauer.
After a brief negotiation Rivers and a female subject exited the room.
“Rivers was apprehended without incident and taken into the custody of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department,” Wittenauer said.
The female was released at the scene. No physical force was used and no injuries were sustained.
